Quick trip to Channapatna temples on the Mysore Road
Channapatna in Ramagara District in Karnataka is a calm and serene place a little over an hour drive from Bangalore South. Channapatna is very famous for wooden toys, but our purpose was to visit some prominent temples with a rich history 📌📌 Sri Nadi Narasimha Swamy temple This temple is surrounded by agricultural lands on the banks of the Kanva River. History says that the temple was built 1000 years ago by Sage Kanva and the Mysore Maharaja had donated 12 acres of land for temple maintenance. Lord Narasimhadev has very sharp features and is magnificently seated position along with his consort Lakshmi devi.
