It solved the double purpose of spending with my mom and my mother-in-law and also making new friends at the same time exploring the country. My first wow factor came after landing in Colombo and seeing the Tamil language everywhere.  Day 1 - Chilaw - Triconmalee Day 2 - Triconmalee - Kandy Day 3 - Kandy - Ramboda Day 4 - Ramboda - Nuwara Eliya - Dondra Day 5 - Dondra - Cinnamon Islands - Galle Day 6 - Galle - Colombo

Channapatna in Ramagara District in Karnataka is a calm and serene place a little over an hour drive from Bangalore South. Channapatna is very famous for wooden toys, but our purpose was to visit some prominent temples with a rich history 📌📌 Sri Nadi Narasimha Swamy temple This temple is surrounded by agricultural lands on the banks of the Kanva River.  History says that the temple was built 1000 years ago by Sage Kanva and the Mysore Maharaja had donated 12 acres of land for temple maintenance.  Lord Narasimhadev has very sharp features and is magnificently seated position along with his consort Lakshmi devi.  It is a great place to be absolutely surrounded by wood apple trees, tamarind trees with water lilies, and kingfisher birds. 📌📌 Sri Aprameya Swami Temple Very attractive deity Baby Krishna - Navneetha Krishna in a crawling pose. From Dasavatara Stotra by Srila Jayadeva Goswami tava kara-kamala-vare nakham adbhuta-śṛṅgaṁ dalita-hiraṇyakaśipu-tanu-bhṛṅgam keśava dhṛta-narahari-rūpa jaya jagadīśa hare 💥Significance of Ahobilam:   It is said that the Eastern Ghat mountain range Nallamalla range exhibits AdhiSesha lying down. The head represents Tirupathi where Lord Balaji is worshipped, the body is Ahobilam where Lord Narasimha dev is worshipped and the tail represents SriSailam.  Ahobilam is a main place of worship for Lord Narasimha dev as the deities are svayambu (appeared on their own). They are known as Nava-Narasimha dev temples.  It is not easy to take the darshan of the deities alone since 2 temples are located inside the forest and 4 on the mountains. It is best to travel with a group of devotees. We took 2 days to take darshan of all 9 temples along with 2 more temples. The extra two temples I will add info at the end of the blog. 1. 📣SHRI YOGANANDA NARASIMHA DEV Day 1 (After Breakfast): This is the fi
